Dr. Walsh completed his undergraduate education at University of Vermont with a degree in biology. He attended Ross University School of Medicine and completed his clinical rotations in Ohio.

Dr. Walsh was accepted to his first-choice residency program Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, GA where he excelled in both inpatient and outpatient medicine. Dr. Walsh spent more elective time in the intensive critical care unit than any other classmate. He thoroughly enjoyed critical care and pulmonary medicine. He directly taught Mercer University medical students, as well as coordinated many resident safety and mental health access protocols. He was selected as a finalist in the Georgia state residency research initiative and presented his data on the use of NOACS for Atrial Fibrillation.

Since moving back to Florida, Dr. Walsh has offered a wide range of care to his patients in Venice. Dr. Walsh’s patients appreciate his compassion and direct approach of encouraging questions and open dialogue regarding their treatment, processes, and diseases.

Dr. Walsh enjoys all aspects of internal medicine and primary care but does especially enjoy management of cardiac, pulmonary, and metabolic medicine. He works directly with his patients care team to ensure the best coordination of care possible.

Dr. Walsh and his wife love living in the Venice community. He looks forward to establishing AdvocateMD to continue delivering care to his patients for years to come.
